The Mormon Church

It was in the early 19th century, particularly in the 1820’s that Joseph Smith have seen a vision in the woods. He had seen two personages – one saying, "This is my son, hear ye him." Allegedly, the one speaking is the Father and he is pointing to his Son who is our Lord Jesus Christ. That is how the story goes.

I believe that this story is formulated by Joseph Smith, I am sorry to tell you. This story is full of lies. I was not there and I do not have any business judging the truthfulness or authenticity of this story but we are guided by the scriptures and the scriptures are our main basis of assessing whether a declaration is true or not.

The Importance of Hope

The proof is the People Temple Sect which was established in 1974 by American Jim Jones. That sect was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records, under the term “mass suicide”, when 913 people among San Francisco’s black community committed a mass suicide. This group highly hoped in the promise that even if they drink cyanide or any deadly or poisonous thing, they will survive and they will not be harmed. But it turned out to be a false hope.

The Great Mystery of Salvation

There are groups that believe that salvation is instant, that by raising your hands and accepting our Lord Jesus Christ as allegedly “your own personal Lord and Savior", you will be saved without doing anything. And once salvation is obtained you will not lose it as the Baptists claim that once you are saved, you are always saved. We have proven that to be incorrect beyond any reasonable doubt. There are chances wherein a Christian may fall or can be a reprobate. Reprobate means that they were once enlightened, they were ones living with God, but they became reprobates because of their misdeeds.

The Mystery of the Body of Christ

You can see that there are so many tactics and modus operandi that has been employed by preachers of our time to deceive even the very elect of God. An example is their showing of great signs and wonders. So, many fruits of their deceptive hearts are obviously seen in them in order to convert people and deceive them and to mislead them and to make them objects of merchandise. Religion now in our times is known to almost every man as a tool that is being used by pastors, ministers, evangelists to claim as prophets in order to enrich themselves.

Once Saved Always Saved???

Their ears are hearers of truth but time will come that they will not endure sound doctrine. These are people who are enjoying hearing sound doctrine because they were called in the church. But according to the prophecy of apostle Paul, time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heed to themselves, teachers having itching ears, and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables.

Accepting the True Christ of the Bible

If it so happened that by chances you have accepted another Christ, instead of being saved, or instead of being a good man or a good child of God, you will become otherwise. Our Lord Jesus Christ has a warning in the Bible that if a blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
